Determining your body type is the first step to finding clothes that flatter your figure. There are four main body types: pear, rectangle, inverted triangle, and hourglass. Each body type has its own unique characteristics, and there are certain styles of clothing that look best on each.
If you have a pear-shaped body, your hips and thighs are wider than your bust and waist. To dress for your body type, choose clothing that accentuates your upper body and minimizes your lower body. A-line skirts, Empire-waist tops, and V-neck shirts are all good choices. Avoid tight clothing and anything that emphasizes your hips and thighs.
If you have a rectangle-shaped body, your bust, waist, and hips are all about the same width. To dress for your body type, choose clothing that creates the illusion of curves. A-line skirts, wrap dresses, and belted waistlines are all good choices. Avoid boxy or shapeless clothing.
If you have an inverted triangle-shaped body, your shoulders are wider than your hips. To dress for your body type, choose clothing that accentuates your lower
